Teacher Bio

Tony Wiley

Tony Wiley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies from Bemidji State University, Bemidji, Minnesota. Tony earned his Masters of Arts degree in the area of history from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, Nebraska. He holds Iowa certification to teach 7-12 Social Studies courses.

Mr. Wiley has been teaching at the high school level for twenty-four years in American History, World History, American Government, Sociology, Psychology, A.P. U.S. History, Geography and Economics. For the past four years he has been an adjunct instructor for Iowa Western Community College teaching American History to 1877; American History Since 1877; American National Government, and Western Civilization Since 1650.

Mr. Wiley has served as a reader for ETS (grading essays for the A.P. U.S. History exams) and was nominated three times by former students to the Who's Who for Teachers. Tony has been nominated twice as his district's Teacher of the Year and has served as a mentor to beginning teachers for the past four years.
