Shannon C'de Baca

Shannon C'de Baca graduated with highest honors from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa with a B.A. in Education with emphasis on K-12 Science. She also holds an M.A. degree in Science Education from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa .

Ms. C'de Baca has 25 years of teaching experience in science and chemistry education. Her Iowa certifications include K-12 life science, physical science, physics, chemistry, and biology. She has served as a consultant for the Council of Chief State School Officers, the Milken Family Foundation, the Department of Energy, and The Alliance for Restructuring Education.

Among Ms. C'de Baca's awards are the National Science Teacher's Association Distinguished Teaching Award, the Milken Family National Award for Teaching Excellence, and the Iowa Teacher of the Year Runner-up.
